ALPHA Facilities Solutions (ALPHA) performed pre and post abatement air monitoring, daily oversight coordination/consultation, and provided final air clearance documentation and a comprehensive asbestos expertise for the duration of this contract.
Daily oversight responsibilities included surveillance during the decontamination and abatement process, coordination with Field Operating Agencies (FOA) and other efforts concerning the protection of students, DoDEA-Pacific employees, custodial workers, military personnel, and the general public from asbestos exposure.
ALPHA prepared the final clearance of the functional space after the response action to remove, encapsulate, or enclose asbestos containing material. This included visual inspection and the collection and analysis of air samples. A summary report was prepared that included a compilation of the project activities, tabular listing of materials decontaminated, final air clearance testing laboratory reports and copies of all correspondence with FOA and other project activities. ALPHA insured to establish records that served as a basis for a final project report and conducted final inspection and air clearance activities as required by EPA regulations under AHERA.
